So far, I have made the following accomplishments:

Today I was able to successfully install Word Press on my host
Changed the theme of the blog
Tried out several plugins
Removed default Blogroll links
Created a Donate page

Thus far, I have had little to no problems (outside of user error) with Word Press. Overall, it seems to be a terrific tool for bloggers. I can’t wait to see what all it has to offer.
